Yesterday we have reached the first island off the coast of Borneos Malaysian state Sarawak. The last miles we had to beat the wind and decided to stay overnight at Pulau Satang. Otherwise it was a pleasant and uneventful passage from the Anambas Islands over the distance of about 250 nm.

Now the impressive Gunung Santubong lies ahead of us. It is our destination to anchor in the river at the bottom of that mountain, not far away from Sarawaks capital Kuching.
