Since we have left in November for our second cruise to New Zealand´s wild South we have sailed about 3000 nautical miles. Now we are back in the civilization. SuAn is tied to the dock of the pretty Town Basin Marina in the middle of down town Whangarei at the end of the navigable part of Hatea River.

The restaurants and parks along the river side are full with happy people. Live seems to be quite normal even with relatively high numbers of new daily Covid-19 cases. Omicron has arrived in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago, but there are no lockdowns anymore, because of the high numbers of vaccinated people.
