Map functionality temporarily limited - Solution in progress

We recently encountered a new problem with our website. It affects the map display (Google Maps). Google has recently tightened its billing policies for the Maps API and now requires all websites to have active credit card billing. This resulted in all maps on OpenLogbook being displayed with the message "For development purposes only" and no longer functioning properly. The problem affects all maps and position displays across the entire website.

To permanently eliminate this dependency on Google Maps and the associated costs, OpenLogbook will be completely migrated to the free mapping system Leaflet.js with OpenStreetMap. This solution offers the same functionality as before, but without external dependencies or costs. The migration will be carried out step by step. After completion of the migration, the maps will function flawlessly again. Please be patient, Lutz is working on the problem.
