Yesterday evening we left at 19:30 hrs our anchorage off Port Denerau. We are on our way on a three day, almost 300 nautical miles long journey to the southern Lau group. As expected there is almost no wind and Yanmar San will perhaps has to work overtime.

Like almost always we do not miss the opportunity to fish. We are trailing two fishing lines with a rubber squid each as lure. On the late afternoon of the first day on sea we have a bite simultaneously on both lines. We hardly trust our eyes when we see how two desperate fish are trying to get off the hook in jumping out of the water. We are also thinking about Tom and we are a little bit sad that he is not anymore with us on board for this exiting moment.

This time the landing of the two fish goes very smooth. A little later we have first one and then two wonderful golden shining Mahi Mahi in the cockpit.

It takes us another hour until the fillets of both fishes have found there space in the refrigerator.

For dinner we have today super fresh Sashimi.
