It is the second day without wind. We are sill using the diesel engine to head into a southwestern direction. Around noon, Petra calls Dolphins! - And really: We are surrounded by a school of approx. 50animals. They are accompanying us for over half an hour. We could not get enough in watching the graceful game of these mammals playing in our bow wave. Today I study the operating manual of the autopilot (Type150/400 of Raymarine). I discover that the autopilot can be switched also in a wind controlled mode. In this mode, it follows not a certain magnetic compass course, but it holds the yacht in a determined angle to the wind.
