SuAn has docked in the harbor of Pohnpei. The officials are informed that we want to clear in. First the officer from health department comes on board and allows us to take away the yellow Q-flag. The harbor master asks about ship document and crew list, the ministry of agriculture take our garbage along but allow us to keep the onions and garlic. Two officers from immigration even help to fill the documents. Seven hours after arrival the customs officer has time for us too. The officials have been friendly and as we had the required cruising permit in advance their visits on board have been brief. Last time we had them coming on board was in Australia.
Now we have officially arrived in the Federated States of Micronesia. But we are only allowed to stay in the state of Pohnpei for one month. If we want to visit other states or stay longer, we have to ask for permission.
