Prince William Sound
Prince William Sound is a huge bay with many islands at the northern end of the Gulf of Alaska. Fjords along its 2500 nm shoreline are surrounded with high snow covered mountains up to 7500 ft (2500m). More than 35 glaciers drop into the sound. Wittier, Valdez and Cordova are the important towns located around the sound.
