Jörg Erler Dresden, Saxony | Hallo Gabi, hallo Lutz Ich muss mich auch einmal zu Wort melden. Ich verfolge Euren Blog seit nunmehr drei Jahren als heimlicher Mitleser. Ich selbst bin erst vor vier Jahren zum Segeln gekommen, bin aber mittlerweile auch als Skipper unterwegs wie z. B. anfang Dezember auf den Seychellen, also gar nicht so weit weg von Euch :-) Mein Drang, nach langer Krankheit auf große Fahrt zu gehen und mein Faible für Reinke - Segelboote haben mich wohl auf Eure Seite geführt. Ihr seid eine riesengroße Inspiration für mich, an meinem Wunsch festzuhalten. Soll Eure Fahrt weiter viele fantastische Erlebnisse für Euch bereithalten, damit Euer Reisetagebuch weiterhin mit schönen Geschichten und Bildern gefüttert wird. Michael (SV JULO) Berlin | Wir waren 1 Jahr vor euch auf demgleichen Track. In Durban empfiehlt es sich ein Auto zu mieten und in die Drakensberge zu fahren. Durban City ist zu gefährlich. Der Kolonialismus durch die Europäer - auch der Deutschen - und die besondere Form der Apartheid haben ein schreckliches Erbe hinterlassen. Dies ist gut in Südafrika zu besichtigen. Wen ihr nach Capetown kommt könnt ihr mit dem Auto kilometerweit auf der Autobahn aus der Stadt fahren und rechts und links ist nur Slum. 1993 hat Mandela gestartet und hauptsächlich das housing-Problem im Blick gehabt. Leider ist in den 30 Jahren nicht viel dabei herausgekommen. Zynisch könnte man sagen, dass das Aufstellen von Dixy-Toiletten am Rande der Slums der größte sozialpolitische Fortschritt war. Und ihr habt noch gar nichts über das „load shedding“ berichtet. Auch ein riesiges Problem, Ausdruck einer verkommenen Infrastruktur. Für die Reichen kein großes Problem, sie haben Diesel-Generatoren, aber für die Masse der Südafrikaner schon, und die sind black! Die Apartheid hat eine Regierung in Gestalt des ANC hervorgebracht, der durch und durch korrupt ist. - Wir haben unsere Weltumsegelung beginnend mit den diversen französischen Kolonien als eine Reise auf der Blutspur des Kolonialismus empfunden. In Südafrika findet das am härtesten in der Gegenwart seinen Ausdruck. Passt auf euch auf und Grüße Michael (wir haben uns das letzte Mal vor Jahren in der Vuda Marina auf Fiji gesehen und flüchtig im Juni 22 in Opua, wir kamen rein und ihr seid rausgefahren) |
