We take the bus to La Línea de la Concepción, where we pass the border to Gibraltar by walking. Gibraltar is situated in the south of Spain and belongs to the United Kingdom. It is a nice sunny day and the rock is free of clouds.

First of all we visit the marina, where we want to have shipped some equipment to and verify the address and how to receive our things. It is a pitty that we could not get a free berth here, as this Marina Bay with it’s new Ocean Village, all the restaurants and shopping centers is very nice.

Than we walk to the Cable Car to have a view from the top of the 412m high mountain and see the famous Barbaray Apes. Those monkeys are used to humans and as it is not allowed to feed them, they don’t expect food. It is a lot of fun to watch them playing, climbing and cleaning each other.

On the way back we walk through the main shopping road. The houses are not very high, the road is narrow, the many shops and restaurants are small and we enjoy this place.

The last highlight on this day is to watch an airplane landing. This is interesting, because the is crossing the only road which connects Gibraltar to Spain and is extended into the sea. It is like crossing a railroad, which is closed when a train is coming.
